jennifer cobb
Executive director

Prior to founding United for News, Jennifer served as the Vice President of Strategic Outreach for Internews. She has served as a senior team member for start-up, nonprofit and corporate organizations. In addition to her work with a series of venture-backed technology companies, Jennifer was the founding director of the Computerworld Honors Awards, a co-founder of the Rockwood Leadership Institute and the founding consultant for the Haas Jr. Fund’s Flexible Leadership Award program. Jennifer has a passion for technology that advances social good. She attended Amherst College and holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and an MA in ethics from Union Theological Seminary.

tom jenen
Managing director

With nearly twenty years of experience in publisher media and ad technology, Tom consults with both startup and established tech companies in the U.S. and Europe on revenue and product strategies, including global market entry opportunities. Tom has held senior publisher-facing roles at Google (helping establish the first premium programmatic effort in Europe), Admeld (first programmatic platform for publishers) and many others. Most recently, Tom has co-founded WomenPresent.com, a platform to connect female speakers with events looking to increase diversity and quality of content. Tom resides in London.

natalie white
Program officer

As Program Officer for United for News at Internews, Natalie provides strategic support for the development of the coalition and its initiatives. She is primarily responsible for managing coalition communications, coordinating projects and guiding the advancement of the coalition’s gender equality program. Previously Natalie worked with broadcasters around the world, helping to grow their audience and revenues on mobile platforms. She has a Masters in Human Geography from the University of Washington, where she studied labor migration and international development, and is a returned Peace Corps volunteer.

gabriela christie
Senior Program Associate

Gabriela Christie is the Senior Program Associate for the Technical Leadership Unit at Internews. Gaby provides administrative support to the United for News team and is directly seconded to the World Economic Forum to serve as a liaison with their partners and events. As part of the Technical Leadership team, she also supports all of the thematic programs at Internews, including environment, humanitarian, health and data journalism programs. She has been at Internews since August 2015 and before that, studied at American University majoring in International Development with a minor in International Business.
